Hi, my name is Michele aka Shelly! I’m from a beautiful historic little town in Germany called Nürnberg but have been living in the US for the past 12 years. I’ve spent many years living in Atlanta and Charlotte but now call Union City, NJ just across the Hudson River my home! I love getting to experience all four seasons again and cheering on the Knicks!
I’ve been working as a frontend developer for the past 8 years. I love being creative and bringing beautiful Figma files to life! Web Development allows me to problem solve as well as collaborate with other creatives - two of my favorite things to do! My tech stack changes based on the project I’m working on but I’ve been working with React, TypeScript and the headless CMS Sanity for the past couple of years at this point. I’ve also built custom Vue.js sites as well as an Angular site or two.
I received an Interactive Development Degree from The Creative Circus in 2018 - a well known institution in the creative world that allowed me to hone my skills in the most collaborative way.
I received a Marketing Communications Degree from Staatliche FOS Nürnberg in Germany and spent several years working for one of Germany’s largest Public Relations agencies where I was able to gather experiences in the fashion, food and celebrity industries. I was always attracted to smart, innovative work that wasn’t just flashy but resonated with the consumer and empowered them.
